We had a really positive experience with HAC Design /HAC Structure, and in particular Masie, who carried out the structural calculations for our single storey extension and load-bearing wall removal. Masie was extremely prompt with responses, communicated clearly throughout the process, and made everything easy to understand. The pricing was very reasonable for the level of service provided. We felt well supported from start to finish and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend HAC Design / HAC Structure to anyone needing structural engineering work.

Hayden, Harrison and the entire HAC team were incredibly professional throughout our project. They closely monitored the build and helped us overcome some unexpected structural challenges with our staircase and beams. Their expertise and support made a huge difference — we genuinely couldn’t have done it without them. Absolutely thrilled with HAC Design! We recently completed a complex renovation and extension of our old house, and working with Hayden was an absolute pleasure from start to finish. Hayden's expertise was invaluable, particularly in getting our planning permission approved. He navigated the process with skill and determination, overcoming challenges that we thought might be insurmountable. The design Hayden created is truly exceptional. He masterfully blended the old with the new, incorporating stunning features like loads of glass, very high ceilings, and internal balconies. The result is a home that feels both contemporary and respectful of its history. He also designed an outstanding architectural feature that's quite unique and not something you see every day – it's a real talking point! Creating an open-plan layout within a period house was a significant undertaking, but Hayden's innovative solution, which required the installation of 42 steel beams, was both structurally sound and aesthetically brilliant. Hayden understood our vision perfectly, translating our ideas into a stunning and practical design that exceeded our expectations. He was incredibly communicative, keeping us informed at every stage and always making time to answer our questions and address any concerns. The attention to detail was impeccable. Our new home is not only beautiful but also incredibly liveable and functional. We honestly couldn't be happier with the outcome and would highly recommend HAC Design, and especially Hayden, to anyone looking for an architect who combines creativity, technical expertise, and a genuinely collaborative approach.

Our experience with HAC was disappointing. Their website is misleading. We decided to instruct HAC without doing due diligence. We have not had the service expected from a qualified architect who would create ideas, understand our purpose and offer great plans. We did not have a professionally qualified architect who worked on the project. It means the quality of work received isn't the worth money paid i.e approx £5000. This company can draw a planning application and submit it but you will not receive the value of a qualified architect who can add value to your ideas and help you. Communication is poor and had to chase for progress during and after the application was submitted. They are not capable of anticipating planning issues etc and when they arise they don't have the competency or capability to deal with them. It was not worth the money invested in this firm for the project. We had expected a professional level of service but the work and service are of low quality. We won't recommend others to use HAC. Find an accredited firm, a qualified architect with experience who can take you to the next level with your project from start to finish who can save you time, and money and help to create beautiful memories.
